MHR Case Manager Vacancies Description?

MHR is urgently looking for a Registered Nurse Case Manager with oncology–related treatment experience. This is a permanent opportunity at a well-known medical aid in Cape Town City Centre.

Working hours: 8:00 – 16:00 | Start date: As soon as possible

Minimum Requirements

Registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse (RN) / Professional Nurse (PN)
At least 2 years of experience in the area of oncology within a medical scheme environment
Sound knowledge of current oncology protocols, guidelines and legislation related to the provision of oncology benefits
Bilingual with a superior ability to express yourself verbally and in writing
Excellent telephone and email etiquette
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Must be available to start as soon as possible

Duties and Responsibilities

Job description: The successful candidate will be required to assist in the management of all oncology-related applications for scheme funding, including:

Receipt and assessment of all motivations for oncology treatment (chemo- and radio- therapy) in accordance with medical scheme rules and current protocols
Assessment of applications and motivations for oncology-related radiology and pathology tests
Telephonic and written interaction with all members’ providers of oncology services
Active monitoring of the in- and out-of-hospital cases
Reports – recording of oncology cases
