The Field Service Technician regularly performs both complex and basic on-site customer support activities involving the installation, maintenance, repair, hardware integration, hardware and software upgrades, troubleshooting, and training on products within customer facilities. Service technicians instruct customers in the day-to-day functionality, operation, and basic maintenance of the systems and serve as the subject matter expert (SME) while on site in all technical matters. Given that the role is heavily customer facing, SPECTRO Field Service Technicians are held to the highest of professional standards in their appearance, conduct, and ethics in providing a superior level of service and training to customers.

Although operating autonomously in servicing work orders, regular training/cross training opportunities as well as daily dialogue with Supervisors/Specialists allow for seamless communication and professional development. . – Performs both complex and basic on-site customer support activities involving the installation, maintenance, repair, hardware integration, hardware and software upgrades, troubleshooting, and training on products within customer facilities.

Responsibilities:

To promote and actively participate in all Spectro Projects
To ensure and implement Spectro’s Mission statement and ISO
To assist and support the Service Manager to ensure customer satisfaction
The Service Engineer is responsibilities to create a good relationship between the customers and the Company. He is responsible to execute the activities in such a way to ensure complete customer satisfaction. He should as far as possible record all dealing with customers and suppliers for future reference
The service Engineer must communicate and report to the Service Manager and keep him informed of the planning and any problems, non-conformities, compliments etc. within the department

Job Specification:

The position requires a person with electronic background. The incumbent need to have experience of the instruments supplied by the company or be familiar with this type of work Tertiary education relevant to the industry will be an advantage but not essential. The appointment will be made by the Managing Director of the subsidiary.

The Service Engineer forms part of the Service / Customer Support Center and reports directly to the Service Manager and Managing Director
