The role

We are looking for a motivated Payroll Specialist to handle all payroll related aspects of international assignments for our clients needs. Our ideal candidate is detailed oriented, has a strong knowledge of tax and wage laws in international environment, and enjoys working in a diverse, multicultural environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Process the payroll for all employees (internal and external). Review payroll calculations globally for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Answer questions about payroll calculations, mutations and exchange rates to internal and client stakeholders.
• Compile key operational payroll metrics & dashboards.
• Structure a global process and implement a payroll timing calendar with cutoff dates for client, organization and service provider alignment.

The day to day

• Address and resolve complaints about payroll from employees and clients.
• Prepare periodic payroll reconciliations and registers and reports for management.
• Manage relationships with third party payroll service providers to ensure accurate and timely master data transmission and calculations.
• Maintain the personnel database regarding salaries and other sensitive data.
• Determine the right payroll amount by calculating overtime, bonuses, etc.
• Estimate financial impact of mutations on payroll. Compare estimated calculations to actual calculations when received and verify differences.
• Help prepare organization budget and expenses by predicting future expense related to known and anticipated mutations
• Prepare reports to relevant stakeholders about payroll, company budget and expense
• Understand and articulate payroll deductions and compensation and benefit structures in global markets.

Requirements

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business or accounting preferred
• Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws in international environment
• Good understanding of the common fiscal procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications
• Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills.
