MRI Software Product Owner Vacancies Description?

MRI Software is seeking a Product Owner to join our team in Cape Town. The Product Owner is responsible for maintaining and promoting the product line vision & strategy on a daily basis through interactions with development and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

The Product Owner works closely with the Product Manager to define the product roadmap and give input into the product vision & strategy
The Product Owner maintains the product backlog (roadmap items, incident reports & enhancement requests) and prioritises the backlog
Prioritise work for the Development Team in conjunction with the Development Manager
The Product Owner drives the process to bring definition to planned features and works closely with the Design Team in the UI & UX design process
The Product Owner breaks features into user stories and readies the stories for development by writing functional specifications, ensuring UI designs are ready and refining the stories with the Development Team
Provide PO acceptance of developed features
This position involves close interaction with product development, architects, product managers, support/services, partners and clients
Collaborative working relationship with Development Manager and Development Team to ensure clarity on the problem, business value of the solution and technical feasibility.
Participate on and/or leads client requirement sessions
Provide cross-functional training/presentations and leads Knowledge Transfer sessions as needed
Participate in bi-annual Users Conferences

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong and effective organisational skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple work assignments and projects
Ability to work well individually and within a cross functional team
Effective time management & communication skills
Experience with SQL queries a plus
Property management industry experience is highly desired

Education (minimum requirements/equivalent):

Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Finance, Accounting or Business required
