Our client is looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

Area: Cape Town Airport Industrial

The position:

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to manage predominantly Microsoft Servers and Desktops in an industrial environment.
Based in the Cape Town Airport Industrial, the candidate must have experience in managing a large user environment.
The candidate will be required to provide onsite assistance, maintain all server infrastructure, and execute various Information systems-related projects.
A minimum of 10 years of experience is required.
They are looking for a well-rounded technical resource, many of the candidates have had very specialized skills and lack in core skills such as networking.
The person needs to be willing to be on standby, and there is no standby roster. An additional allowance is paid for standby.
Preferably a friendly people person who avoids conflict and builds good relationships.
Remote/hybrid working is not an option during normal business hours.

Skills:

Experience configuring and managing Windows Servers, Desktops and Hyper-V virtualisation with replication.
Experience with configuring network firewalls, switches, and routers. (Experience with Mikrotik Routers specifically, would be advantageous.)
Experience with ITSM such as Kaseya, N-Able etc.
MS Power Apps Knowledge, API, and Cloud Experience will be advantageous

Working knowledge of Process Street and SmartSheet
