Famous Brands Financial Accountant Vacancies Description?

Meeting tight deadlines for various accounting and financial reporting activities, including balance sheet recons and managing budget and profit forecast activities. Be the key contact for corporate and Company owned restaurants monthly balance sheet reporting.

Main Outputs and Responsibilities:

Preparation of special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends;
Ensure that all financial reporting deadlines are met;
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close;
Prepare monthly balance sheets reconciliations and commentary thereon including inter company reconciliations.
Preparation Monthly balance sheet review slides with commentary.
Attending monthly stock counts and act as internal audit to verify accurate stock counts in company owned restaurants
Approving of Bookkeepers journal entries using workflow
Running depreciation calculations
Preparation of IFRS 16 schedules and maintaining them on a monthly basis
Prepare capital investment request and maintain fixed asset register for Corporate and Company owned restaurants
Compile annual budget and forecasting templates ahead of time for all SB Brands, Company Owned Restaurants and marketing funds
First review of bank reconciliation and ensuring SOP’s are adhered to
Preparation of year end audit files;
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Qualifications:

BCom Accounting;
Previous Restaurant Accounting and FMCG environment experience will be an advantage
Advanced Excel skills are essential

Experience:

Sage X3 proficiency preferred and experience with Sage X3 Financial Reporter an advantage or advanced experience with another ERP essential if no Sage X3 experience.
IFRS experience

Knowledge and Skills:

Ability to meet deadlines.
Strong technical Excel skills (Advanced)
Strong administrator and organized.
