Elchemie Senior Draughtsman Water Treatment FTC Vacancies Description?

Water Treatment company specializing in full range of water treatment services, has a 4 month Fixed Term Contract available for a Mechanical/Piping/Structural Draughtsman. Autodesk 3D’s max and water treatment experience essential. Based in Johannesburg.

Requirements:

Relevant Tertiary Qualification and courses in Autodesk products
1-4 Years experience with water treatment technologies
5-8 years’ experience with 3D modelling using Autodesk Inventor
Experience with Autodesk Plant3D, Vault, 3Ds max, or Navisworks Manage: beneficial.
Experience working with iLogic and iparts: beneficial
Experience in drafting RO plants: beneficial
A membership of an appropriate professional body: beneficial
Valid driver’s license

Duties:

Responsible for using Autodesk Inventor to assist engineering team with design and visualization of the process and water treatment plants.
Producing General Arrangement (G.A.) drawings which present the design for manufacturing.
High level of competency and attention to detail required in designing the physical plant by considering: how it will be built, the cost of materials, what stock is available, the functionality of the system, and the equipment required to build.
Responsible for using Autodesk AutoCAD to assist the process and project engineers with Process and Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID’s).
Maintaining drawing standards and developing standards with the assistance of the team. This includes standards for drawing templates, P&ID symbols, and processes for drawing revisions and revision records.
Responsible for creating, maintaining, and storing G.A. and P&ID drawings for standard products sold by the company.
Building, maintaining, and backing up the CAD parts library.

Assessment: Candidate will receive a hand drawing which they will then have to redraw in AutoCAD adhering to the companies drawing standards.
