EXTERNAL OPPORTUNITY

POSITION: TENDER ADMINISTRATOR
DEPARTMENT: TENDERS
REPORTS TO: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

COMPETENCY PROFILE

Outputs

The individual will be responsible for handling the tender function at Aleng South Africa (Pty) Ltd, which will include:

Taking full ownership and responsibility for the entire tendering process;
Potential tender sourcing and tender document sourcing;
Tender registration/documentation on the necessary platforms;
Preparation of Enquiry file;
Review of tender documents, completeness and returnables;
Preparation of enquiry letters;
Submission and receiving of enquiries from suppliers;
Preparation of tender letters (Submission Index Letter);
Prepare and submit internal enquiries;
Receive, review and file all internal enquiries;
Organizing task allocation meetings;
Organizing tender checking meetings;
Compilation of tender files;
Filing of all submission documents and copying of all approved original files;
Wrapping of tenders;
Submission of tenders;
Liason with Client pre and post tender submissions;
Tenders reports updating.

Knowledge & Experience

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a tender administration environment;
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint);
Knowledge of tendering or quotation system;
Good understanding of bid management and proposal process;
Tender administration role in Engineering or Construction environment will be advantageous.

Qualifications

Relevant National Diploma or higher level [in Sales, Administration, or equivalent];
IPAS Quotation System
Office administration qualification (advantageous).
