What you can expect

The successful incumbent must be a high level accountant with excellent multitasking skills who will be responsible for assisting the finance team in various financial and tax audits as well as ad-hoc projects. Duties will include the following:

  •     Review and support with monthly reporting for 8 companies
  •     Review and support with monthly income tax calculations for 8 companies
  •     Review VAT, WHV and WHT returns for Sub-Sahara Africa companies in South Africa , Kenya, Nigeria and Zambia
  •     Lodging relevant returns in the tax portals
  •     Review and support of annual income tax returns in accordance with local legislation
  •     Preparation of GL recons for 2 entities, review of GL recons for 5 entities
  •     Prepare presentation slides for monthly management meetings
  •     Preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS
  •     Annual Fixed Assets verification audits
  •     Co-ordinate tax audits
  •     Completion of statistical questionnaires

What we expect

  •     Post graduate qualification in Finance
  •     Minimum 5 years experience in Finance
  •     Knowledge of SAP FICO module essential
  •     Knowledge of South African and Sub-Saharan tax legislation (Income tax, VAT, WHT, WHV and ICTP) and IFRS preferred
  •     Corporate / multinational experience preferred
  •      Ability to work in the office at least 3 days per week
